But the darkest days of a mother are those when something goes wrong with her child, as is aptly shown in the episode of Mary finding her child Jesus in the temple. Abbā, in the name of Jesus, and with the intercession of his Virgin Mother I pray, God give special blessings to all mothers on earth and soothe the pain of those who suffer. Amen.

I am asking for your prayers for my husband, Joseph, for a good bladder cancer report for his June 17, 2019 checkup. Please thank our Father in heaven blessing of the cancer not spreading and the continued good reports. We ask for continued blessing that Joseph will remain cancer free from all forms of cancer in all parts of his body. We pray for direction in selecting a new cancer doctor that will be a good caring physician. We also pray for guidance and a healing for his loss of his rotator cuff and torn bicep and ask that the Holy Spirt guide us to the new home to lessen the burden of home maintenance. Thank you.

"When Jesus therefore was His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, "Woman, behold your son!" John 19:26 (NKJV)***********"TODAY, I'M SIFTING THROUGH FAMILY photos, remembering, and missing my mom. She was my best friend. Because of our mutual love & trust, I tried my best to obey her. As I followed her wishes, I could see the delight in her eyes and knew she was proud of me. When I read the story of Jesus changing water into wine(John 2:1-10), I can almost feel Mary's excitement as she directs the servants to follow Jesus's bidding. It's as if she couldn't bear to wait one more day for the world to know how incredible her son was. I wish I could've witnessed the looks they exchanged during those key moments, when Jesus declared that His time hadn't yet come, and yet He honored her wishes. Their bond was tight, their intimacy complete. I like to think I would've responded in obedience to my mother's encouragement, just as Jesus did. Even as He hung on the cross, Jesus sought to protect Mary, telling her to look on John as her son. The two probably built a strong relationship, from their mutual adoration for Christ. But still...During the years since my mom's passing, I've spent many hours with wonderful older women. They've doled large servings of wisdom, guidance, and love on me. But they're not my mother. I've never met a substitute for my precious mother. I don't want to. But I've found a bond just as meaningful, a love as deep. There is One who believes in me, as I depend on Him. God Almighty, You created us in Your own semblance but we chose to sin. At this, You still loved us and sent Your Son Jesus to earth that we may be redeemed. For all this, I will never cease to thank You and shall keep exalting Your Holy name and glorify You until my last breath. Until then I pray to You in the name of Jesus, to protect all children, juveniles, and adults from becoming targets of abusers, especially females whose bodies are exploited and sold like meat, beyond any dignity.
