Pray for me as I recently had a telephone interview for a television news position at KULR-TV / NBC 8 (W-W-W DOT KULR8 DOT COM) in Billings, Montana with the news director, Mr. Phillip Ohnemus on May 15, 2019. Mr. Ohnemus said honest, but discouraging information (his opinion) to me regarding my career endeavors of being a news reporter at an entry-level television station like his in Billings, Montana. Mr. Phillip Ohnemus said he does not want any "introverted, awkward, loner, shy, and wallflower people" in his newsroom and in the journalism industry. When I told Mr. Phillip Ohnemus that my true journalism endeavor is to be a multi-media journalist (MMJ), Mr. Phillip Ohnemus said that "newscast producers cannot be a multi-media journalist (MMJ) and will not be successful in this venture at his station and that it is a lot of work." Mr. Phillip also felt I was not vocal enough to contribute to anything his newsroom and at KULR-TV, and that I am just an "awkward, loner, wallflower" person. It is known that it is an "image business," but do not make candidates feel discourage that they are "unattractive," "ugly," and not "pretty enough." Mr. Phillip Ohnemus does not truly understand or know how difficult is for any entry-level job candidate to find his or her first television news job at a small market station in a small town like Billings, Montana. I felt offended and discouraged by Mr. Phillip Ohnemus’ remarks. Mr. Phillip Ohnemus is right about one thing which is: I really badly want a job / employment in the local television news industry to start my career. Pray for me to find the right entry-level starter-market television news affiliate within the United States of America that is truly and genuinely willing to help to me a television news reporter / multi-media journalist (MMJ). In the name of Jesus and in Jesus name, Amen.
