SECOND SUNDAY OF LENT - O God creator of all good things, you are our light and our salvation, whom should we fear. You are the stronghold, the rock of our life, of whom should we be afraid? Help us as we live each day by discerning what is right and true, by taking comfort and always hoping in you. Dear Lord, I offer you this prayer, to help me with my current relationship situation. Please take away all the pain and hurt in my heart. Fill it with love, joy, patience, and understanding. Bless me and my partner, so that we may never surrender to whatever challenges that come our way. Fill our hearts with love for each other, and may you make each one of us realize each other’s worth. Please touch the heart of my partner and fill it with much love for me. Make our complicated relationship become uncomplicated. I seek for your mercy and blessing that you may allow us to spend the rest of our lives with each other. Please make this feeling mutual for both of us. Lead us not into temptations, especially during times of stress, feelings of being overwhelmed, and in situations/places that may lend to these temptations. Make us both seek and maintain exclusivity with each other in this relationship in our thoughts and actions. Let us look to each other for support and love. Guide us wherever we go. Always put us in each other’s heart and mind. Allow us to have spontaneity and romantic thoughts/ gestures towards one another. Make us unselfish in our thoughts and gestures towards one another. Lord God, creator of heaven and earth, I call upon You asking for Your love. Divinity beyond my understanding, Yours is all the glory and praise I can give. God, in the name of Jesus, I pray, let us bask in Your love. Grant us, influential Church leaders, that they may guide us without fear. May we also have honest, righteous, and correct politicians to administer our countries. God of Love and Mercy, with a broken heart I come to You to pour at Your feet the sorrows and the pains which surround me. Creator, You made man Your exquisite choice. For this I thank You, give You praise, and glorify Your Holy name. But many families are living cold wars between spouses and siblings. Help them do whatever it takes to sort out their lives for their good and for that of others living with them. Our Father, I can only beg and plead to You. And then rely on You. And so I do. Amen.
Dear Lord, I pray: for all of my family members to get along with each other much better right away and respect each other, for my son to be honest, trustworthy, and legal always, for my son to go to confession as soon as possible and return to full communion with the Catholic Church right away, and become a great Christian, Catholic gentleman who becomes a great witness for the Lord and His Church, in thanksgiving that my son got a job – that he might do very well at it, enjoy it, work full time or more at it, develop useful skills and traits and wisdom, and that he be guided by the Spirit to what he should be doing next in life, and, for all of my family's ailments -- spiritual, physical, mental, or emotional -- to be cured quickly and completely, most especially the depression and anxiety affecting my son. May they go away without the use of drugs of any type.
