THURSDAY OF THE FIRST WEEK OF LENT
O blessed Christ, my teacher, my savior, my God: You have commanded me to love others as myself. Yet it is so often easy to see the faults in others, for I see their outside and compare it against what is inside me. I have inflated my goodness and importance in my own mind, but have judged others for the smallest shortcoming, and I am filled by foolish pride
I vow by this prayer that I will strive to follow your Word, to forgive all who have injured me, to turn loose the petty resentments and grudges that poison the world with hatred, and to overlook the faults of others; and I ask to be pardoned wherever I have done injury to my brothers and sisters, who are your beloved children even though they, like me, are sinners. And I vow, when I fall short of your commandment, to seek out and confess my wrongdoing. Forgive me, Holy Christ, and help me to ever amend my life; this I pray, with faith in the grace you have promised to the penitent sinner. Amen.

Prayers for 1st Lt Nick Voght, brave soldier who was leading his platoon in Afghanistan in November, and was injured by an IED. God my Lord, he had another surgery today, and very critical, God , please heal him body, and spirit, put your healing hand on him my Lord. Please God, give strength to his family. In Jesus Christ I pray.

My daughter Cheryl is having surgery today...I ask that you keep her strong and that the surgery go well and she will be back to good health. I'm coming to you again for my Grandson who now needs you even more.for strength and guidance. He is seeking to go into the air force and need to past the test for entrance. I ask that you guide him to pass the test and that he will get into the air force to start fresh with a new career. I pray in Jesus name that you put your arounds them both . Keep the health and and strength of family and friends that they may continue to be safe. I ask now that you watch over Brenda and guide her along the way as she too needs you now. Last that you keep me in prayer for strength and to be safe...In Jesus name I pray .

Thank you Lord for removing the roadlblock to my focus on you. Help me push through the unjustness that engulfs me now to tear me down and take away all of my dignity. Lord you are my rock and I need to hold on tight to you in all my thoughts and deeds. Guide me Lord, I pray not to let these distractions take my heart away from you. My physical health is poor and my financial health is even poorer and I need help with both. Have mercy on me Lord. I ask these things in Jesus's Name..

My grandson son has another bout with RSV....he is on 3 months old, this is respitory and very little they can do because he is so small, please pray for a fast recovery he is so small, my daughter has 2 other small children and one of them is also sick, my daughter is scared and exhausted please pray for her also, Thank you all for your continued prayers

St. Anne, My parents took me to your Scranton Shrine when I was ill as a infant and you heard our prayers. My son, Kevin experienced healing from seizures at your shrine in Quebec. Tonight I am begging your intercession for: (1) Our family members- Patrick and Kristy who has epilepsy. (2) Mary Ann Healy Greech and Elsie Avalon who has cancer (3) Father Zacchaeus OSB.CAM who has a severe back problem (4) Our son Sean LAFD - protect him in his job (5) Michael who has anger issues stemming from childhood (5) Myself- healing of bronchitis (6) Kristen - knee replacement surgery success.
