But I remember my kids all going through this stage. It seems natural, especially when you're small, to worry you won't get your portion. ***Some of us never grow out of it. I think many of our problems, between people as well as nations, come from this mind-set of scarcity. We think we have to grab everything we can for ourselves lest we'll run out or someone will take it from us. But it doesn't only apply to things. Maybe it's attention. We think that if someone else gets attention from the boss about good work or another parent's kid wins an award or another church gains members, these things take away from us. ***But our God is a God of abundance. Jesus came for that very reason-to give us life to the full(John 10:10). In Him, there is no such thing as scarcity. Dear Lord, I offer you this prayer, to help me with my current relationship situation. Please take away all the pain and hurt in my heart. Fill it with love, joy, patience, and understanding. Bless me and my partner, so that we may never surrender to whatever challenges that come our way. Fill our hearts with love for each other, and may you make each one of us realize each other’s worth.
