Lord, grant that I may always allow myself to be guided by you, always follow your plans, and perfectly accomplish your holy will. Mark 4: 38 (NLT)*********"SOON AFTER MOVING AVOARD, WE set aside a Saturday to sail with our friends and family. The weathermen predicted strong winds-the kind on which experienced sailors thrive.***As we motored down the Fraser River, we ran into howling winds. I felt queasy. Two guests became seasick, but there was no turning back-it was too late to go against the tied. Our only option was to keep going until the tide changed direction in about six hours. ***I couldn't wait for the tidal change, but not everyone agreed. This was Gene and our son-in-law's idea of a perfect day.****What was the difference between them and the rest of us? They understood sailing and how to capture the wind for our advantage. We imagined the worst and hung on for dear life. There skill and knowledge gave them confidence. Prayer for the Intercession of St. Padre Pio Dear God, You generously blessed Your Servant, St. Pio of Pietrelcina, with the gifts of the Spirit. You marked his body with the five wounds of Christ Crucified, as a Powerful witness to the saving Passion and Death of Your Son. Endowed with the gift of discernment, St. Pio labored endlessly in the confessional for the salvation of souls.
