Perplexed

Lord, and for all those reading, that I may be at peace with God (yes, You), not answering me (as per the homily, today); yet, then why even pray? I just don't get it, and don't think I ever shall. I know it is a "mystery of faith", but it doesn't seem logical to me to pray, if God isn't going to change anything; I mean, why bother, then? Please someone explain this to me-- I must have a very literal mind. Not that I don't believe, but then, I want answers. Can't have it both ways! Didn't Job say, "I must see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living?" It is a paradox. I ask for help with this mystery, as my life has not made any sense for a long time, and I feel as though I were going thru the motions (ie, I believe-- but only sort of). I would like to see God's hand in my life in the "big things"; though I am thankful for those little gifts which may/may not be mere coincidence. I wish I may find someone who could explain this to me? I know it's also supposed to be about relationship-- but then, my relationships don't make sense, either. PS. Ps. 62 on opposing page helps! St Jude please intercede for me that my enemies will not laugh at me. Please grant speedy recovery in that cb cl will not add names to my diag. I pray that I will be restored to sanity without having a tl, taking the stand or changing rooms. I pray for the health of my mother, my aunts and ml, and ngbr. I pray for the Holy Spirit to enlighten me when I speak and how I act. I pray for good health, peace and financial stability for all of us.

Dear Lord, please help some business or place to hire my son. As you know he has filled out numerous applications without any response. Please guide him to the place that will hire him and if necessry help him to be open to nursing aide jobs. Please help to increase his interests and self esteem. Please help him to find his purpose in life.

May the soul of Nick Caposio rest in peace . He died today Father's day. May God comfort his Daughter Sue and her family. He was 100years old and 2months.
