Lord, and for all those reading, that I may be at peace with God (yes, You), not answering me (as per the homily, today); yet, then why even pray? I just don't get it, and don't think I ever shall. I know it is a "mystery of faith", but it doesn't seem logical to me to pray, if God isn't going to change anything; I mean, why bother, then? Please someone explain this to me-- I must have a very literal mind. Not that I don't believe, but then, I want answers. Can't have it both ways! Didn't Job say, "I must see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living?" It is a paradox. I ask for help with this mystery, as my life has not made any sense for a long time, and I feel as though I were going thru the motions (ie, I believe-- but only sort of). I would like to see God's hand in my life in the "big things"; though I am thankful for those little gifts which may/may not be mere coincidence. I wish I may find someone who could explain this to me? I know it's also supposed to be about relationship-- but then, my relationships don't make sense, either. PS. Ps. 62 on opposing page helps! Thanks.
