SECOND SUNDAY OF LENT - O God creator of all good things, you are our light and our salvation, whom should we fear. You are the stronghold, the rock of our life, of whom should we be afraid? Help us as we live each day by discerning what is right and true, by taking comfort and always hoping in you. Guide us along your right path knowing that you are always with us and you will never leave us to face life alone. Amen!

O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of saints, your love for God and Charity for His creatures, made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your woed, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore you to obtain for me healthy in all senses of the word grandchildren from my two children and their husbands. The answer to my prayer may require a miracle; even so you are the Saint of Miracles. O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the Sweet Infant Jesus, who loved to be folded in your arms; and the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours. Amen Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
