"Tuesday, October 3, 2017, " "Who among you by worrying can add a single moment to your life?" Luke 12:25(CEB)****"I wouldn't worry about that." I overheard one woman telling a friend, dismissing her concern as trivial. The friend's response startled me: "Oh? What would you worry about?" Her question penetrated the flippant "Aw, don't worry about it" with a moment of introspection. We all worry. If that concern wasn't significant enough, what is?" ***What's your worry trigger? Worry triggers show us where we're not trusting Jesus. If we're honest with ourselves, we could point out the places without much coaxing. We may not worry over finances, but if something threatens our children's safety or happiness...We may weather our own medical crises with calm detachment, but if a parent or spouse is hospitalized with an undiagnosed condition...We might fly without fear but worry when our teen is out past curfew...What are we supposed to do with the worry that comes so naturally to many of us? Jesus didn't leave us without an answer to that question. It's shared three verses later in Luke 12. "If God dresses grass in the field so beautifully, even though...it's thrown into the furnace, how much more will God do for you, you people of weak faith!" (Luke 12:28, CEB)..If worry is ineffective and Jesus promises that God cares about our situation more than we could imagine, worry is left without any wind in its sails. ----Cynthia Ruchti**********FAITH STEP: Name your worry trigger. Dear Lord; Please heal this world of its ills, & let all those faith filled, God fearing, compassionate, caring & honest people live a life filled without fears & have peace of mind. "IMAGINE" by John Lennon Is a song that in this world as it is today, is so truthful & frightening that we don't have to "IMAGINE!" Seems there's so much fueled hatred, disrespect, no religion, no morals, no values, no common decency, nor common sense, only entitlement, greed & hate! IS CANCER THE PLAGUE, as it's running rampant throughout my family, friends, acquaintances & their loved ones within the passed four years, loss of three siblings & two surviving siblings battling cancer, myself, eldest of six am a survivor of cancer & am watching my son, along with my grandchildren are suffering by worrying about his wife, their mother, who's suffering the effects of HER2/ER Positive Breast Cancer. Please Lord, I know it's Your will & their time, that You can send much needed Miracles for all to have good health, full recovery, courage, faith, hope, strength, prosperity, patience, happiness & a comfort in healing always.**** My deepest condolences for all those lost to the tragedy in Las Vegas, & my empathy for the survivors that they have strength, courage & ability to go forward & for all the families whom lost loved ones & are related to survivors of this tragedy, all natural disasters, other violence, to have a comfort in healing & faith. Please help & hear my prayers.

Please remove the clueless, jealous, head strong, and evil people away from his place of employment and replace them with open minded caring people. O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of saints, your love for God and Charity for His creatures, made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore you to obtain for me healthy in all senses of the word grandchildren from my two children and their husbands. The answer to my prayer may require a miracle; even so you are the Saint of Miracles. O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the Sweet Infant Jesus, who loved to be folded in your arms; and the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours. I pray for the victims and the families of this tragic Las Vegas Shooting, for the people of Puerto Rico, Texas and Florida who suffered with the hurricanes and for the people in Mexico who were affected by the earthquake. Dear Lord, help us unite with love for each other in this country. Also, thank you for the positive results of the test for D. I pray that he will be healthy in the future. I pray for T. and G. and their new baby.

Help the attitudes and mental state of people that hate, and make choices to hurt, injure or kill others. Please help this world have peace and law and order for everyone. Help law enforcement, first responders, health care workers. Help the people who are suffering and loss loved ones. Help good people to help each other, protect, and be safe.
