"Thursday, October 5, 2017 "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven." Ecclesiastes 3:1(BSV)*****Growing up I wanted to be a schoolteacher. I've always loved kids, books, learning, and I thought there could be nothing better than a roomful of young, eager pupils. My life took a turn when I became a mom at a young age. Instead of completing college, I started writing during my children's naptime. Jesus used that time when I was a stay at home mom of three very young kids to guide me to my passion---to share His truths through the written word. As a bonus He later called me to homeschool my children. When we are young we often think that there is one purpose for our lives, and it's our job to find it, follow it, and try to bring honor to Jesus while doing so. Instead, I see that Jesus has given me many jobs that have been a training ground for me. I've started a crisis pregnancy center, and I've hosted a radio program. I oversaw a program that educated teens, and I currently work with young moms in the inner city. Yet I never did all these things at once. I walked with Jesus through each season, learning from Him and leaning on Him for wisdom and guidance. Sometimes when Jesus calls us in a new direction we may think, That's not what I want to do with my life or That's not my dream. If it's truly Jesus's leading then it's important to know that the areas in which we work and serve today might be a training ground for what Jesus has in store for us later. We might not know what training we need for future work, but Jesus does. --Tricia Goyer*****FAITH STEP: Make a list of all the season's you've been through. Dear Lord; Please lay Your healing hands over my son, his wife & my grandchildren, that their wife & mom, Dimona's chemo/radiation & hormonal treatment each week will be successful & she will have full recoveries, feeling well & good health always. That my son's endoscopy test come back with good news, as he's carry his cross now. His wife with HER2/ER Positive Breast Cancer & MS, their eldest child with Aspergers, ligaments/tendons/muscles aren't adhering to the bones, youngest child, has familiar Mediterranean fever, & lyme disease. Please Lord; send them Your MIRACLES, they do deserve all the best life has to offer them filled with good health, prosperity, safety, patience, strength, courage, hope, faith, happiness, respect & love always with a comfort in healing. Please help & hear my prayers.
