O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of saints, your love for God and Charity for His creatures, made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore you to obtain for me healthy in all senses of the word grandchildren from my two children and their husbands. The answer to my prayer may require a miracle; even so you are the Saint of Miracles. O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the Sweet Infant Jesus, who loved to be folded in your arms; and the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours. Amen

Endowed with the gift of discernment, St. Pio labored endlessly in the confessional for the salvation of souls. After Mass today, there was a man (early 20s) with a small child (7-8 y.o.) who was asking for money to help pay for rent. (Their mother was a few steps away also asking for help.) The child blurted out that "the man" (presumably the landlord) will kick them out if he sees them. The man beside her (uncle?) was visibly embarrassed. They are new to Canada from Hungary. It breaks my heart that so many people are ignoring them as they enter the church to go to Mass.
Please, please, please keep this family in your prayers. Also, please pray for the softening of the hearts of all those who ignored them.
