I am in need of rest, peace of mind, live in the comfort of my own home, & have the ability to focus & accomplish much needed goals. Thank You Lord, for giving me the wisdom, strength & courage to confront my semi-attached neighbors & forgive me for my anger & frustrations that had been pent up for 8 years, as I tried to keep the peace, tried to resolve in a civil manner, the conflicts with them, to no avail, & now am afflicted with irreversible lung damage, & other ailments, from inhaling toxic fumes & from enduring their doing construction 24/7, that has been destructive to my health & home, that I've lived in for 47 years! Sometimes when I speak with someone who's lost a loved one. I hesitate to ask questions. I don't want to be intrusive. But today I remembered the tremendous hurt I felt when my beloved maternal grandmother died, so I asked my colleague about her grandmother. She told me about the treasure of journals. Bibles, photo albums, and keepsake books that had been discovered in her grandmother's house. For years, her grandmother had written prayers of blessings and protection for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, speaking life, healing, hope, and prosperity into the lives of her family. Her grandmother left a legacy of faith for her family, just as Lois did for Timothy in the New Testament.**In Paul's second letter to Timothy, he let Timothy know that the same faith his mother and grandmother had in Jesus Christ lived inside Timothy and he needn't be fearful starting his ministry. I'm sure that Timothy's grandmother and mother prayed for Timothy as he was growing up, trusting that he'd live a life for Jesus. Seeing the faith of our loved ones in action shapes our lives. It's shaped mine. I'm experiencing the faith in Christ that first lived in my grandmother on a higher level. Abbā Almighty, we can never respect You as You deserve. We can only do our best, and even to achieve this, we need You to grant us the grace to do it and to help us. So You made a bridge for us to come to You; Your Son Jesus, our Saviour and Redeemer. He, who had to pay for our sins, becomes a man, suffers pain, humility, and death on the cross.
