
Jacqueline C. Perez
Lector
Jackie is a parishioner at St. Francis Xavier Church in Manhattan where she has trained and serves as a lector, eucharistic minister and hospitality minister. A music minister as well, she serves as cantor and guest director of music at Xavier and for other liturgical events and parishes in and around the New York City area. In addition to the St. Francis Xavier Choir, Jackie is a co-founder and co-director of The Ignatian Schola and member of the professional choral ensemble group, Choral Chameleon under the direction of Vince Peterson.
Jackie is a Spiritual Director, trained in the tradition of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. She has worked as a Retreat Director, Program Planner and Speaker/Presenter with The Jesuit Collaborative and various parishes and groups in the New York City area.
Lastly, Jackie is a medical doctor specializing in Internal Medicine. She received her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and did her training in the Internal Medicine/Primary Care Residency Program at St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Center in Manhattan. In September 2010 she became the Health Care Coordinator and Assistant to the Provincial on Health Care for the NY Province of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits). And continues to practice medicine with the Mount Sinai Hospital affiliate: Lutheran Family Health Community Medicine Department, formerly of St. Vincent's Hospital.
