FOURTH SUNDAY OF LENT
Lord Jesus, I am sitting here before you, looking at you on the cross.
I know that you died on the cross to save me from my sins and to give me eternal life.
I never knew that your outstretched arms were an invitation for me to embrace you on the cross and to join myself to you for the salvation of all humankind.
You invite me to offer you my personal suffering, my aches and pains, my disabilities, my loneliness, my grief and sorrow, my financial and family worries.
In short, you invite me to unite all that I am to your total offering of your life so that sins may be forgiven.
Now I feel that my life still matters.
I feel joy and gratitude seeping into my heart.
I feel you lifting and calling me to become one with you in your Passion.
May your passion be always in my mind and heart. Amen.
