Loving God, we thank you for this holy season of grace. Help us through your grace to see the goodness in ourselves and in others. Give us the strength to believe that you are always with us even when we struggle. Enliven our hearts with the gift of hope, a gift that we through the living of life can bring to the world. Please pray for my husband, David, a man in his 40s who was diagnosed with a high grade sarcoma (cancer) in his left bicep in September, 2012. He has gone through extensive radiation and had 4 surgeries (the first 3 were unsuccessful, nearly requiring the amputation of his arm). We pray for his complete and total healing. We have previously had many die of cancer in my family, including my mother who had a 9-year agonizing battle with cancer.
