PRAYER OF LOVE - If I speak in human and angelic tongues* but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, [love] is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.
So, faith, hope, love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is Love.

I am writing about my son, Bryan. He lost his job this past Friday as his firm let him go. He is a good man, strong on the outside, but this shock has hurt him so deeply. I worry that this event may scar him in the worst way. He is the emotional and physical mainstay for his his family (Jennifer and Connor). I know he will gain another position, for he is a talented man. Bad things often happen to good people. I am asking for assistance so that the bad event will lead him to a better life. I am praying for him so that he will overcome this struggle and regain success for his family's security but also for Bryan's personal welfare. Pls Lord, cut him some slack. I 'd appreciate it. Amen.

Dear Lord, please take care of my family. Watch over my daughter that she will always find strength in you and courage and confidence in herself. Help her to stay on the right path and and find friends who are genuine and good. Take away all our sadness and worries Oh Lord- about our health, our finances, our relationships. Watch also over our parents as they age that they may age gracefully without too much pains and aches. Watch over me and my husband Oh Lord, that we may be closer and that we may resist temptations and reach out to make things work. Help us in our jobs, in our careers and our daughter in her schooling. Pls ease our pains...Amen.

Dear Lord, please continue to protect and watch over our families and friends-- we thank you for all the blessings you have poured out to us through your people, for all the incredible things you have done for me, a sinner. Please help me to be a better person, a less anxious and depressed person, lifting me up whenever I fall. Please hear my prayers for others who do not know you or do not understand your love. Please help me to truly feel your love bravely, not listening to my own negative thoughts-- increase my faith so that it is larger than a mustard seed... Please send us your angels to help us pay our bills and change our negative habits to positive ones. Watch over and guide our family, Keep us safe at all times and in good health. Please help my daughter and myself in finding jobs/work or back to school for my daughter. Oh Lord, I say a prayer of thanksgiving for the improvement of Leslie's anxiety and for all the blessings that you bestow on me daily! I continue prayers for both Leslie and Christine for their anxiety and depression, for Faye's continued healing from hip surgery, that Forrest finds a job soon, that Mom does not need back surgery, for Sheila and Joan as they battle cancer, and for Dad and Paul as they live with dementia.
