Father of all nations and ages,
As we recall the day when our country claimed its place among the family of nations;
for what has been achieved we give you thanks, for the work that still remains we ask your help, and as you have called us from many peoples to be one nation, grant that, under your providence, our country may share your blessings with all the peoples of the earth.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

In thanksgiving for all of God's blessings; so that my son's cognitive abilities keep improving, especially when he is tired; so that the spot on his back goes away and no more develop; so that my husband's legs stop hurting and that he can get more rest; so that my husband will really listen to me when we talk about my driving alone; so that the doctors find out why I continue to have the pain in my stomach, and that my legs will get stronger; so that my husband and son have a wonderful day as our family celebrates Fathers' Day; and so my father and my son enjoy their Father's Day celebrations in heaven with you dear God. I ask all of these requests in Jesus' name Amen.
