THE BLESSING OF
UNANSWERED PRAYERS
I asked for strength that I might achieve;
I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey.
I asked for health that I might do greater things;
I was given infirmity that I might do better things.
I asked for riches that I might be happy;
I was given poverty that I might be wise.
I asked for power that I might have the praise of men;
I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God.
I asked for all things that I might enjoy life;
I was given life that I might enjoy all things.
I got nothing that I had asked for,
but everything that I had hoped for.
Almost despite myself my unspoken prayers were answered;
I am, among all men, most richly blessed.

Lord Jesus in your most compassionate heart protect my sons, esp. H and J who are having difficulties in life. Keep them safe in your loving mercy. Bless them and their wives. Bless my grandchildren who are so dear to me. Lead all of them in the glory and path that God has set for them. Bless me and my job and may I be able to get the benefits that are due me. Dear God in Jesus name please closely watch over and protect my son, my sons girlfriend, my daughter, my grandson, my friend and me. Please be closely with us and keep us all safe. please Dear God in Jesus name keep my son drug and alcohol free. Please keep him safe in his commutes and don't let him be in any car accidents. Please keep his job secure and his homelife peaceful, calm and happy. Please help his girlfriend to study hard and pass her nursing boards exam. Please Dear God in Jesus name please help my daughter not suffer from her depression, anxiety and financial problems. Please help her and guide her to be productive and to spend money wisely and not spend the rent money.please guide her to have a positive outlook in life and live it. Please help my grandson be doing well. Please keep him safe when he's driving. Please help him get his license. Please guide him to pay his rent money without argument. Please dear God in Jesus name thank you for me feeling good this morning. Please continue to help me have no more bad side effects from my liver medicine. Please don't let the right side pain radiating to my back be bad and please don't let me have bad breathing or choking, gagging coughing spells.. Please help me e happpy and productive today. Please help my car be safe and hold up and please keep me safe if I should drive it. Please don't let us get into any accidents in either car. Lease help me keep up with my financial responsibilities. Please keep my friend healthy and protect him when driving .thank you Dear God in Jesus name for answered prayers. Please don't let me hear the terrible vibration noise in my apartment and if it starts please don't let it be bad and help me to tolerate it. In thanksgiving for all of God's blessings this week; for wisdom and help as Jack prepares for his confirmation; for John's cognition and word retrieval to return to normal; so that the lesion on his back will dissolve, that he does not have any more markers and that when he goes to the specialists they will conclude that he does not have MS; so that Terrie will do well on her job interview on Tuesday and she is chosen to fill this job; so that my husband will not have the pains in his legs, back, and hands and his mood improves; so that I will be able to do the leg exercises to strength my knee and that I will lose weight I ask for all of these in Jesus' name.

Almighty God, It is about 40 years since You reached down and called my father into Your keeping as he toiled on a hot day. It was so sudden and reminds us we know not the hour of our Death. I pray for his soul. I pray also for the souls of my mother and younger brother, both of whom suffered prolonged illness before Your calling. Forgive them their sins and grant them mercy. Thank You my God.
