We give you heartfelt thanks, O Loving God, for the rest of the past night and for the gift of a new day, with all its opportunities of pleasing you. Grant that as we live the hours of this day we will do so with joy, faith, hope and love in service of you. So that when evening comes upon us we will again give thanks to you for your many gifts that enriched us throughout the day. We make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen! My husband lost his job over a month ago and my company just had a massive layoff this Friday and I too am now unemployed. I also happen to be 8 months pregnant. Dear Lord, please hear our prayers in our time of need. May My husband and I find something quickly and may I not stress to much as this little one still needs time to grow before she is born. I know you will are by my side in this time of need. Strengthen me and please help me.
