Troubled Hearts - Compassionate God, at times our hearts seem troubled. When this happens, everything becomes an effort, life is difficult, and we struggle to be faithful. In these moments remind us of your Son’s words “For human beings it is impossible, but not for God. All things are possible for God” Do not let us be afraid and thus give in to life’s troubles. Rather help us, stay close to you, by reaching out to others, doing something creative with passion, and always living the fullness of life. Enliven us always in your Holy Spirit of hope, so that we may live life with Passion together. And may the Passion of Jesus Christ be always in our hearts! Amen.

Dear God .. we pray for those suffering from the weather in Texas. We pray for fires in Montana, Oregon and throughout the country. We especially pray for the sale of our home so that we can move to a location where my husband can more easily receive health services. Add'l prayers for so many friends and family members suffering with medical needs or loss of family.

We are grateful for helping in James s.'s spleen removal. We now ask for prayers that his body will begin to accept regular food so he can begin his long recovery and fight off infections. Also pray for his caregivers. Especially David who has an illness of his own and who has lost a close friend this week. Thanks for your prayers.
