St. Joseph, guardian of the Holy Family, watch over the chosen people of Jesus Christ. Keep us, loving father safe from all error and corruption. From your place in heaven, graciously protect us against the powers of darkness. As you rescued the Child Jesus from evil persons who wanted to kill him, so now defend God's holy church from the snares of the enemy and from all adversity. Extend to each one of us your continual protection, that led on by your example and strengthened by your aid, we may live and die in holiness, and obtain everlasting happiness in heaven. O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of saints, your love for God and Charity for His creatures, made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore you to obtain for me healthy in all senses of the word grandchildren from my two children and their husbands. The answer to my prayer may require a miracle; even so you are the Saint of Miracles. O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the Sweet Infant Jesus, who loved to be folded in your arms; and the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours. Endowed with the gift of discernment, St. Pio labored endlessly in the confessional for the salvation of souls.
