THURSDAY OF THE FIRST WEEK OF LENT
O blessed Christ, my teacher, my savior, my God: You have commanded me to love others as myself. Yet it is so often easy to see the faults in others, for I see their outside and compare it against what is inside me. I have inflated my goodness and importance in my own mind, but have judged others for the smallest shortcoming, and I am filled by foolish pride
I vow by this prayer that I will strive to follow your Word, to forgive all who have injured me, to turn loose the petty resentments and grudges that poison the world with hatred, and to overlook the faults of others; and I ask to be pardoned wherever I have done injury to my brothers and sisters, who are your beloved children even though they, like me, are sinners. And I vow, when I fall short of your commandment, to seek out and confess my wrongdoing. Forgive me, Holy Christ, and help me to ever amend my life; this I pray, with faith in the grace you have promised to the penitent sinner. Amen.

Please pray for the following: L.M. -for healing help with grief of losing spouse of 56 years, 3 years ago. Dorothy - who is having dropped uterine surgery tomorrow--will return following day with a bag and nursing help--for her daughters, Danielle; Debbie who will be helping her during recuperation. For Danielle, 39 who is going with a Mission from her church to Kenya, Africa this year to help with implementing a good water supply there--which is so greatly needed. Alice, - 58, terminal cancer and her husband, Ronald, Donald - 50, Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma; Hubert- 86 who is having surgery to clear out Carotid arteries in neck and for his spouse, Mary who is very agitated and upset about her husband's upcoming surgery and complications of health; Patrick, 77--has had flu this year and with Diabetes, Asthma, Kidney transplant 4 years ago-has had a hard time fighting it and for his spouse Kathleen and children who are helping all they can; for Elsie - who has crippling arthritis; for Christiane who is returning from Ghana, Africa where she has traveleted to many parts of Africa over the years to help (she works with the UN in Rome, Italy), for cure for the Swine Flu spreading right now and Peace in our World and for the Economic Crisis, many friends of mine who are losing jobs and are trying to pay mortgages, etc. Please pray for a return to faith by J.F., L.H., & M.D. who have been through difficult life situations and need to know that God loves them and will help them and their loved ones. For Mary that she will have a open heart to know that she is a dear friend as is her husband and I would never hurt her! Thank you and you can be assured of my prayers for all of you and yours! Please pray for my family, so that HE may save us from the severe financial crisis we are going through. I thank God for everything He has done for me, everything He is blessed me with. Christ, our savior, show us a way out of this darkness. Please for me as I am going to write my exams in 2 weeks time. I have 16 exams to write in span of 1 month. There is less time and a lot to study. Pray that He blesses me with concentration, memory, confidence, and determination. Pray for all those affected with the Swine flu and that it may to propagate further affecting other people and other parts of the world. Pray for all children who are alone and who need support and guidance. Pray that they find Jesus.

My home situation is getting worse and worse. My husband is getting sicker with the parkinson's and other ailments. Our son who is still with us (41 yrs. old) is at the lowest point of his bi-polar illness and will not go to see a doctor or take any prescription medication. Oh dear Lord, I am desparate and muc afraid. My son's anger is growing worse. Help him realize that he needs to see a doctor. Please, i beg you hear my prayers through the intercession of Our Dear Lady, your Mother. Amen

Thanksgiving for an uplifting service every week I watch The Mass on I Life TV. My hard attaining job and crucial family obligations can only allow to watch the masses on TV. But the major request I recommend in your prayers, is my family can graciously stewer in what must be expected in our family's budget because my mom has been in the nursing home two years next month, and what security monies cannot cover for her stay we have to pay. What funds considered that she cannot pay anymore is insolvent. That my brothers and sister return to the faith and at least respect the spiritual aspects continually received in our home. Especially the Godly foudations we first received when our family first were brought up in the faith. We lived in the same address 40 years next month.
