DOING WHAT IS RIGHT - Gift us O God, with a spirit that always contemplates what is right, what is good, what is worthy, what is decent, what is honorable, what is of value, the goodness, within ourselves and others. Help us to treat all we meet in the same way we want to be treated. Grace us with patience when we are not. Enliven us with trust in you so that we will always have the strength to ask, seek and knock. Knowing that if we do, we will always be given, we will always find, and the door will always be open! Amen!

Nothing extraordinary happened to me this past day, so my joy should be Your doing. Thank You Abbā for lifting me with a small taste of the true happiness which only comes from You. God, in Jesus’ name, grant me that all my loved ones and others share with me this joy. I beg this of You especially to baby Naia who is going through painful times. Amen.

O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of saints, your love for God and Charity for His creatures, made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. The answer to my prayer may require a miracle; even so you are the Saint of Miracles. O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the Sweet Infant Jesus, who loved to be folded in your arms; and the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours. Amen Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. Hail Mary, full of grace. Our Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Glory be to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit now and forever. Amen

"Lord God, giver of bread, we bless You for Your heavenly kindness. There can be no famine while the bread of heaven endures, and help us to remember that when we are forgetful of Your infinite kindness. **How blessed it is to know that we shall not want forever, as You will not allow Your children to go without bread. However long the day, and hard the work, we have the rest and the bounty and the bread.**Happy and grateful are we! We have You who plan our daily feast for us. As we eat of the bread of heaven we shall continue to prosper on earth. Kind Lord, feed me until I shall want no more!" Amen." *********May God Bless all always!
"While Peter was talking, a bright cloud covered them. A voice came from the cloud and said, "this is my Son, whom I love, and I am very pleased with him. Listen to him!" Matthew 17: 5 (NCV)************"ALONG WITH JAMES AND JOHN, PETER received a special revelation. Jesus briefly revealed His glory to these three disciples on a mountaintop. His clothing and face glowed with a supernatural brightness. Suddenly the two greatest Old Testament prophets appeared and talked with Jesus. Peter may have been thinking about the Feast of Tabernacles when he offered to put up three shelters for Jesus. Moses, and Elijah. But before Peter finished speaking, God interrupted him with praise for His Son and instructions to listen to Him.***I often feel a kinship with Peter, and sometimes forget that a big part of prayer is listening. Sometimes I pray while I'm driving, walking, or doing household chores. Other times I enjoy a dedicated time of quiet, concentrated prayer. Even then I often focus on making sure I include all the right elements. Did I offer praise and thanksgiving? Confess everything? Include all my requests and needs? A more important question: Did I spend time listening for Jesus's voice?*****Prayer is a two-way conversation, not a monologue. Jesus wants to speak to us and calm our fears, offer guidance, and assure us of His loving presence. We can miss His voice if we're solely focused on our own agenda. But Jesus knows me intimately; He also knows what my day holds. So when it comes to prayer, I should be glad to let Him dominate the conversation. --DIANNE NEAL MATTHEWS*******FAITH STEP: Pray and ask Jesus what He wants to say to you. Listen for His voice." "Do not look forward to what may happen tomorrow; the same everlasting Father who cares for you today will take care of you tomorrow and every day.***Either He will shield you from suffering or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it.***Be at peace, then. Put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations, and say continually: "The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in Him and I am helped. He is not only with me but in me, and I in Him." Amen." *****May God Bless all always!
"Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." Ephesians 4:32 (ESV)*******JUDY HAD NOT SPOKEN TO HER sister in thirty years. One night as she asked the usual "Bless Mary Beth, " to her prayers, she sensed a clear message: That's not good enough. You need to go ask her for forgiveness. Judy felt shocked. "Ask her for forgiveness?" But she flew out to visit Mary Beth, who was in poor health. When Mary Beth said she didn't feel like she could be forgiven for the life she'd led, Jesus shared the love of Jesus and then mailed her a Bible. Two months later, Mary Beth was found dead. Nearby the Bible lay, open to psalm. ***As Judy shared her story in the Bible study, a though nagged Gayle: I've made a mistake. Gayle and her own sister had not communicated much through the years due to various reasons. Now Sandy was recovering from a stroke. Gayle drove two hours to Sandy's house and spent the evening talking. The door Opened to a close and loving relationship.***Refusing to forgive someone is like getting trapped in a maze of bitterness and resentment that stunts our spiritual growth and infects all areas of our life. Even simply neglecting a family relationship can steal our joy and peace. If we sense a prompting to take the first step toward reconciliation, it's a gift from God. Yes, we'll feel awkward or fearful reaching out, wondering if our efforts will be rebuffed. Yes, we do risk getting hurt. but Jesus will give us the ability to forgive if we ask for His help. And who knows what chain reaction of grace our obedience might set off? " --DIANNE NEAL MATTHEWS*********"FAITH STEP: Ask Jesus to reveal anyone you need to reach out to for reconciliation.
