FIRST SUNDAY OF LENT - God of Life, be with us in our journey through Lent and life. Remind us of the story of your love each day that we may truly believe in our hearts that you are our God. In our moments of choice and decision help us to choose wisely. Have mercy on us when we don't. Remind us amid our struggles to always call upon your name for help. Enrich us with your gift of hope that will enable us to always remember your love. Amen!

O St. Theresa, Powerful Intercessor, you have promised to "let fall a shower of roses" from Heaven as your message of love for all who seek your assistance. Ask God to grant me the favors I now beg of you, please let my two daughter have healthy in all senses of the word children, my grandchildren. Also help any child or children who need help and any couple who want healthy children. It is with great confidence in your love for all people that I ask for your intercession on my behalf. Encouraged by this thought, I implore you to obtain for me healthy in all senses of the word grandchildren from my two children and their husbands. The answer to my prayer may require a miracle; even so you are the Saint of Miracles. Dear God, You generously blessed Your Servant, St. Pio of Pietrelcina, with the gifts of the Spirit. You marked his body with the five wounds of Christ Crucified, as a Powerful witness to the saving Passion and Death of Your Son. Endowed with the gift of discernment, St. Pio labored endlessly in the confessional for the salvation of souls. With reverence and intense devotion in the celebration of Mass, he invited countless men and women to a greater union with Jesus Christ in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. Through the intercession of St. Pio of Pietrelcina, I confidently beseech You to grant me the grace of healthy in all senses of the word grandchildren from my two daughters. Prayers for all those fighting cancer and chronic medical conditions, especially arthritis.
