MERCY & COMPASSION - Almighty and ever-loving God, look with compassion and mercy on our humanness, on all our struggles and weaknesses. Strengthen us for the journey ahead. Give us the wisdom to follow your call. Enliven us with the grace to be repairers and restorers of your love. Help us to be people of mercy and hope and to bring that mercy and hope to all we meet. We praise Abba for the opportunity to pray and praise God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. What a privilege to praise God. Abba thank you for your divine protection. Thank you for protecting me from being bitten by a pit bull dog running loose in the neighborhood. I pray for your continual protection of me throughout this year from both dogs and people who are wild and wicked. Preserve me from all evil. Keep me out of the path of evil ones who are hasty to shed innocent blood and whose feet are eager to do violence. Remove from my path those who do not know peace and justice.
