We give you heartfelt thanks, O Loving God, for the rest of the past night and for the gift of a new day, with all its opportunities of pleasing you. Grant that as we live the hours of this day we will do so with joy, faith, hope and love in service of you. So that when evening comes upon us we will again give thanks to you for your many gifts that enriched us throughout the day. We make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen! Thank You, Abbā God. I prayed for peace and hope, and You granted them to me. You are a true giver, and Your love for us is Your glory, although we are not worthy of it. In the name of Jesus, I pray, now make my doubts vanish in thin air, my anxieties fizzle out, my fears turn to courage, and my cowardice change to bravery, especially in the face of challenging situations. Do not make these changes in me for my reputation, but let me have them for the good of others and Your greater glory. Amen.
