We give you heartfelt thanks, O Loving God, for the rest of the past night and for the gift of a new day, with all its opportunities of pleasing you. Grant that as we live the hours of this day we will do so with joy, faith, hope and love in service of you. So that when evening comes upon us we will again give thanks to you for your many gifts that enriched us throughout the day. We make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen! For my daughter's health to continue to be well and a speedy recovery for my mom, dad and aunt, most especially my mom because of her stroke. Heavenly Father, today I woke up with very little pain. With joy in my heart, I thank You, sing praises to You and give glory to Your name. From birth to death, our imperfect body keeps reminding us of our frailty. So we seek medical advice and do whatever is suggested to us. However, quite often, as a sign of our limitations, nothing seems to help. Then, Abbā, we come at Your feet, as I do today to beg You to grant, in Jesus’ name, all my sisters and brothers, relief from their arthritis. Amen.
