ASH WEDNESDAY - O God, with ashes on our forehead we begin Lent knowing that the rest of the journey will not be pubic like today but perhaps more personal, more one on one with you. We will give up things or perhaps do things to hopefully focus our lives on what is most important. We will pray to draw strength for the journey. We will give of ourselves as your ambassadors so that it is not just about "me" but about "us" about You! And so, as we journey, we ask you to create in us a clean heart and renew in us a steadfast spirit. Help us to remember that now, today is the right time, the acceptable time to encounter and know your love. Fill us with the hope that by your grace we are journeying together in your love. Amen!

Almighty Father, thank You for granting us control over Covid-19. Your grace blessed us with several preventive methods and precautions which help us a lot to safeguard ourselves. Although around the world, millions died, billions escaped early death. Abbā, in Jesus’ name, now that in many countries, restrictions are being eased or lifted, please help us control ourselves from overindulging ourselves after having starved from sharing and enjoying life. Let not holiday depression take over. Amen.
Almighty God, Have mercy upon my mother. My mother is receiving medical treatment. Lord God, I humbly beg that you heal my mother, get her well soon, and touch her with your mighty hands. My husband and I are in our 70's and not in good health. We will be undergoing a major project for the next 6 to 9 months. I pray that God give us the health, mental strength and mutual support to successfully complete this task. I also pray for family support as well. Thanks be to God.
