ASH WEDNESDAY - O God, with ashes on our forehead we begin Lent knowing that the rest of the journey will not be pubic like today but perhaps more personal, more one on one with you. We will give up things or perhaps do things to hopefully focus our lives on what is most important. We will pray to draw strength for the journey. We will give of ourselves as your ambassadors so that it is not just about "me" but about "us" about You! And so, as we journey, we ask you to create in us a clean heart and renew in us a steadfast spirit. Help us to remember that now, today is the right time, the acceptable time to encounter and know your love. Fill us with the hope that by your grace we are journeying together in your love. Amen!

Dear God, Thank you so much for all your blessings. Please also bless and give our family strength with what we’re going through especially my husband and son. Please bless that everything will work out for the better for the both of them and our family. Grant my husband and son the wisdom to make the right decisions. Continue to keep our family safe. For my daughter's health to continue to be well and a speedy recovery for my mom, dad and aunt, most especially my mom because of her stroke. Give my dad strength to cope with my mom's health issues and everything else. With the current COVID19 pandemic, give all of us affected strength during this challenging time. Continue to bless our family for our recovery from the COVID19 effects and so with everybody too. Please heal the world. Thank you.

Our Father in Heaven, to whom we give praise and glory, our Creator God who made us in His image and likeness, yes, You are Holy because You are divine. But I am not. However, in full belief that what the Good Book says is true, I know and believe that this, Your command, is something for which I have to strive and reach. So, in Jesus’ name, please, Our Abbā, help me and give me great hunger for You. Guide me and lead me to become so. Amen.
