A SUNDAY PRAYER - O God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Your Son cared for the welfare of every person and went about doing good for all. Grant us the imagination and the resolution to create throughout the world a just and hopeful world for the human family. Make us agents of your compassion and mercy to the suffering, the persecuted and the oppressed. We pray this through the Spirit of your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen. Please give me strength, energy, health and optimism. Please help me to find happiness again. Help me, dear God to always feel your loving, comforting and healing presence. Almighty and Eternal God, thank You for the forgiveness of our sins, for which with the crucifixion, Jesus paid to redeemed us. What great grief must Jesus’ Mother, Mary, have endured to see her Son, the Son of God, suffer so for the sin of men. Yet, Mary, Jesus, and God the Father, each in their special way, love us sinners, not for our sins, but for their great desire to see us forgive those who sinned against us. Hence, Abbā, in Jesus’ name, grant us that we will wholeheartedly forgive. Amen.
