PREPARING FOR A NEW DAY - O God, be in our moments of rest today and give us what we need so that as this day takes its course and we encounter moments of stress, strain, struggle and effort we might also find your peace. And when evening comes and we look back over this day and we see how fragmentary everything seems to be, and how our plans have not fully been accomplished. Help us to take everything exactly as it is, putting everything in your hands, leaving our life with you, knowing that it is good! Then in your peace may we find rest, real rest in you and rise refreshed to begin our next day of new life in you. Amen!

Dear Lord I pray that my wife Linda comes through her shingles and Bursitis and the pain she’s suffering be ended and she’s returned to good health. Watch over my family and guide us to be kind and to accept others and their ways. Please pray for my grandson, who is trying very hard to not be petty with the mother of his child. It upsets him because of their son. He just wants a resolution that each of them can accept. Please keep him safe and in a good place in his mind. I pray for all who are sick and their families. Help us all to be good Christians and to pray for all people. Stay calm and accept what cannot be changed and to show love to all.
