Christiana Liberis

Violinist

Christiana Liberis is actively freelancing as a recitalist, chamber musician, and orchestral player on both violin and viola. Born in Naples, Italy, she began violin and piano studies while living in Athens, Greece and after moving to the United States attended Wellesley College, the Conservatory at Purchase College (Ba.M Violin, Performance Certificate, summa cum laude) and Mannes College of Music (M.M., magna cum laude). She has studied with numerous internationally acclaimed teachers and has been coached by multiple luminaries of the classical music world. Christiana can frequently be seen performing in many different ensembles and orchestras in virtually every major concert hall in NYC including Radio City Music Hall, Hammerstein Ballroom, Symphony Space, Beacon Theater, CAMI Hall, Alice Tully, Merkin Hall, and Carnegie Hall, and also plays in more underground venues and performance spaces such as Pianos and The Kitchen. Additionally, she has performed in the national touring productions of Broadway shows such as "Light in the Piazza" and "Camelot" and for a myriad of other productions such as Mannheim Steamroller and artists on tour including Josh Groban and Tommy Lee. Versatile in diverse musical genres and styles, Christiana has collaborated in concert engagements across the United States, Canada, and Europe and also enjoys a career as a studio and recording musician having recorded tracks for major artists such as Ricky Martin and Delta Goodrem, as well as for various movie and video game soundtracks, big band recordings, and independent films. Television credits include appearances on "Live! With Regis and Kelly", "My Fair Wedding", and a live PBS broadcast of "Amici Forever", among others. Christiana is currently based in New York City.
